Maharaja Express is the newest addition to the already impressive array of Indian luxury trains. It was launched in January 2010 and is running fantastically ever since. This train is the most luxurious amongst the Indian trains. Maharaja Express is born out of a joint venture between ICRTC and Cox and Kings India Ltd. No doubt, traveling in Maharajas’Express is an experience in sensate opulence with all the inbuilt amenities of a five star hotel. The train has five deluxe carriages, six junior suite carriages, two suite carriages, and one presidential suite exclusively in one carriage. It is equipped with two fine dining restaurants, one bar, and a lounge with a bar, game tables and a fine club.
The Maharaja Express is fitted with state-of- the-art systems. It has a state of the art suspension system for a comfortable journey, climate control in the passenger cabins, eco- friendly toilet system, and direct dial telephone facility in every cabin. This is the train which offers the ultimate in luxurious travel. Maharajas' Express has five carriages for Deluxe Cabins, six for Junior Suites, two for Suites and one for grand Presidential Suite.
Each cabin is equipped with large windows so you can watch fleeting frames of India looking through your window. Each passenger Cabins is fitted with individual temperature control. It has facilities like LCD televisions, DVD players, direct dial telephone, internet and many others. You can watch movies to keep yourself entertained. Each cabin is fitted with its electronic safe deposit box.
